Drymen & the surrounding area

Looking out from the viewpoint in Drymen overlooking Conic and the Arrochar Alps

It has been said that Drymen is one of the prettiest villages in Scotland and with so much to see and do we have no doubt that you will have a wonderful stay at the Old School Bed & Breakfast.

If you are staying during the summer be sure to wonder out of the B&B and down to the square on a Thursday evening to hear the local pipe band or take a stroll up to the view point for fantastic views of Loch Lomond and the mountains.

Eating Out in Drymen & the surrounding area

There is a great choice of dining in and around Drymen.

The Clachan is an old drovers inn and reputedly Scotland's oldest licensed premises. It serves good pub food and has a great “local” atmosphere.

The Pottery also serves good pub grub and is in an elevated position overlooking the square. On a colder evening be sure to get a seat next to the open fire!

The Winnock Hotel serves bar food and also has a restaurant.

Browns of Drymen is our newest restaurant. It boasts contemporary Scottish food using quality local produce. Within a short drive there is also the Oak Tree pub in Balmaha, full of character and on the shores of Loch Lomond.

Most of our local Inns and restaurants are family owned and run and therefore offer a unique and personal service.
